Background
Six years working on flight sales infrastructure for a major travel company. Remote, English-speaking teams based in Germany. Responsible for around eleven backend services handling pricing, availability, payments, and passenger notifications. Before that, seven years doing PHP and MySQL, including server administration and deployment process standardisation.
AI & Tooling
Running local LLMs (Ollama, gemma4) integrated into the development workflow. AI-assisted code screening, content validation, and automated evaluation pipelines. Not using third-party APIs for anything that touches code or data.
Infrastructure
Everything deployed with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. Blue-green deploys, automated monitoring, zero-downtime releases. Production runs on free-tier cloud compute behind Cloudflare tunnels.
